I started building this community because of a feeling I couldn't shake after I left corporate.

On paper, my exit looked clean. I left a big job at a Fortune 500 company because I was ready for something different. 

I chose to walk away from a six-figure salary. I stepped off a career ladder I spent 15+ years climbing. And I was excited about what came next.

But in the day-to-day reality of the transition, I kept running into the same challenge: nobody around me really got it. 

Leaving corporate wasn't just one big change. It was a hundred small decisions and transitions that nobody really prepares you for.

My friends were supportive. My network was encouraging. 

But the people who truly understood what I was navigating? I had to go looking for them. 

Corporate Refugee is the community I wish had existed.
